Queue

Quite a few of the things I have here are marked as being by Pelican Software or Toucan Software, a division of Queue. It appears that this “division” started out as Pelican Software and then changed its name to Toucan. Steps in that direction can be seen in the Favorite Fairy Tales title: both copies say Pelican on the front. But one of them says Pelican on the back and inside the manual, while the other one (copy 2) says Toucan on the back and inside the manual. Both of them say Toucan on the cover of the manual. Since Penguin Books has a Pelican Books imprint, it’s easy to suspect that maybe Pelican was coerced into changing to Toucan in a way that parallels how Penguin Software was coerced into changing to Polarware. Anyway. The partial steps toward Toucan that can be seen across the two copies of Favorite Fairy Tales is interesting.
